Privacy Policy

How Yayocuts handles your personal information — under Québec’s Law 25.

Last updated · September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Salon de coiffure Yayocuts inc. (“Yayocuts”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, yayocuts.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as modernized by Québec’s Law 25.

In short: Yayocuts is a barbershop. This website gives you shop information and hands booking off to Booksy — it does not create an account or take payment. We collect almost no personal information directly through this site, and nothing non-essential runs until you say yes.

01

At a glance

By default this site is cookieless — no analytics and no tracking run until you choose “Accept” in the consent banner. If you refuse, nothing non-essential loads: no analytics script and no analytics cookie.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we run no advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

02

Who is responsible for your information

Salon de coiffure Yayocuts inc., operated by Yoann Folquet, is the business responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Our shop is located at 3345 Rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montréal, QC H1W 2C7.

Under Law 25, we have a person responsible for the protection of personal information (a privacy officer). You can reach that person by email at yayocuts@gmail.com or by phone at +1 (514) 742-0465 for any question about this policy or about your information.

03

What we collect

Through this website, by default: essentially nothing that identifies you. There is no account to create and no contact form. If — and only if — you accept analytics, Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data: pages viewed, approximate region, and device or browser type, with your IP address anonymized. A small analytics cookie is set only after you accept.

When you book: booking runs on Booksy, an independent platform. The name, phone number or email, and the service you enter are collected and processed by Booksy under Booksy’s own privacy policy, and used by the shop to prepare and provide your appointment.

In the shop, by phone, or by Instagram direct message (@yayocuts): the appointment and service details you choose to give us — for nails and massage, booking is arranged by Instagram message. We never ask for more than an appointment needs.

04

Why we use it

We use personal information only for clear purposes: to arrange, confirm and provide your appointment; to answer you when you contact us; to keep this website working and to improve it (analytics, only with your consent); and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we make no automated decisions about you.

05

Cookies and analytics — your choice

When you first arrive, the site sets no analytics or tracking cookie. A consent banner offers three equal choices: Accept all, Refuse all, or Customize. Non-essential categories are off until you turn them on.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) to count visits anonymously. IP anonymization is on and advertising personalization stays off.

If you refuse, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is ever set. Only strictly necessary technology — the site itself — runs.

Your choice is stored on your own device (in your browser), with the date and a version number, so we can ask again if this policy materially changes. You can revisit or change it anytime through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

06

Who we share it with

Booksy — the booking platform. Information you enter to book is handled by Booksy under Booksy’s own terms and privacy policy.

Google (Google Analytics) — anonymous website analytics, and only if you have accepted analytics.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Beyond that, we do not share, sell or rent your personal information.

07

Information handled outside Québec

Booksy and Google may store or process information on servers outside Québec, including in the United States. Before relying on these services, we considered whether the information would receive protection comparable to what applies here, taking into account their published privacy commitments and security practices.

By booking through Booksy or by accepting analytics, you understand that the related information may be handled outside Québec.

08

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as the law requires. Booking records are held by Booksy and the shop for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting and tax obligations.

Analytics data follows Google Analytics’ retention settings. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

09

Your rights

Under Québec’s Law 25 you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; have it corrected if it is inaccurate; withdraw your consent (for example, turn analytics off at any time); ask us to stop using it or to delete it, subject to legal limits; and receive a copy of the computerized information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format (data portability).

You also have the right to be informed if we ever make a decision about you based solely on automated processing — we do not.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy officer at yayocuts@gmail.com or +1 (514) 742-0465. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

10

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Booking data is protected by Booksy’s own security on its platform.

Your consent choice is recorded with a timestamp and a version, so we have a clear record of what you agreed to and when.

11

Children

This website is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect the personal information of a child under 14 without the consent of a person having parental authority.

12

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a concern about how we handle your information, please contact our privacy officer first at yayocuts@gmail.com or +1 (514) 742-0465 — we want to make it right.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI), the provincial authority for privacy, at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

13

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date shown at the top reflects the latest version. If we make a material change to how we handle your information, the consent banner will ask you to review your choices again.
